The Department of Christian Education and Formation
The Department of Christian Education and Formation of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church provides “cradle to the grave” nurture in the Christian faith for the members of the CME Church.
This Department promotes Sunday Schools, Christian Youth and Young Adult Fellowships, Vacation Bible Schools, adult education courses, Bible Study Courses, and so forth.
In addition to those activities normally associated with the Christian faith, this department prepares, selects and recommends all literature and materials to be used in CME churches’ Sunday Church schools, membership training classes for children, youth and young adults.
As a church, we are affiliated with the Department that serves as the official liaison between the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the colleges and the theological school which are under the auspices of the CME Church.
Phillips Temple joins with the Connectional Department of Christian Education and Formation through ministries for children, youth, young adults and senior adults to promote the continuous training and nurture for all God’s people.
