The Board of Stewards

Stewards are vital to the Church’s effort to fulfill its mission as the body of Christ. Persons who are placed in the position of Stewards embrace the highest level of commitment to Christ and His church.

Stewards play a major role in all areas of the church’s spiritual growth and especially that of church finance. They are nominated by the pastor in charge and regarded as persons who are able to conduct business and financial matters of the church.

As spiritual lay leaders of the Church, Stewards are constantly striving to be more Christ-like and to be found faithful as they love the Lord and His people. Their goal is to serve the Lord and to help others in accordance with I Corinthians 4: 2, which reads

“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” (NKJV)
